The Zebra Foundation for Veterinary Zoological Education was created by the British Veterinary Zoological Society, through the efforts of Patrick Humphreys  and Mary Brancker, both now deceased.  The object of the foundation is to  assist veterinary students and veterinary surgeons from around the world to gain additional experience in zoological medicine.

This additional experience may be achieved by attending relevant organisations home or abroad or undertaking elective study projects or zoological research.

The Zebra Foundation has its own website as of March 2018.
